Our Story
Millson Group traces its origins back to 1980 when Philip Millson founded the firm after a distinguished career in local government. By the late 1980s, the company had expanded into a medium-sized, multi-disciplinary practice, offering a comprehensive range of professional services across the UK property industry.
Specialising in the care, leisure, and residential sectors, the firm quickly gained a reputation as one of the UK’s leading providers of contemporary care facilities. In 1989–1990, Millson Group pioneered an innovative fast-track site sourcing and construction program for a major care home developer and operator. Following the successful securing of a significant financing package on behalf of the client, the company was acquired to serve as its in-house property services division.
In 1991, the firm was re-established, staying true to its founding principles of value-driven service. Over the years, Millson Group continued to evolve, and in 2013, the leisure and residential divisions were consolidated, marking the next phase in the company’s growth and commitment to excellence.
Now in 2025, with over 45 years of experience the company now branded as Millson Group aims to provide many different services working though multiple sectors.

We design functional buildings, economical master plans which are viable and practical. Resourcefulness is at our core, focussing on value driven design. We innovate our design methods and take pride in using the most appropriate techniques, from a pencil sketch to a comprehensive building information model.
Our designs are for our clients, not for ourselves, always with one eye on value and the other on timely delivery.

We plan and manage development projects, showing commitment by sharing risks through joint ventures and partnering agreements. Managing a development team effectively is how we develop a trusting relationship with our partners. We do this by thinking flexibly, being available, and taking nothing for granted. We produce results through constant engagement with our partners, planners and the public in an honest and open manner. Our experience in development has taught us that only this approach is sustainable.

We project manage construction across the UK, taking responsibility on-site and getting our hands dirty.
We care about reducing delivery costs, actively managing the specification, and always looking for ways to generate more value for our clients. Constant communication, a personal service and our honest approach has allowed us to deliver challenging leisure projects time after time.
